Help Future Engineers - Become an E115 Lab Instructor
Each fall semester, nearly 1300 freshmen are accepted into the College of Engineering in a number of engineering disciplines. Every student takes a similar series of courses including English, chemistry, calculus and a fundamental engineering course: E-115. This course educates new students to the technological workings of NC State University and the College of Engineering as well as introduce valuable resources that will make a student's experience here at NC State easier and more productive.
In addition, the Fall of 2008 continues upon a milestone in the history of the College of Engineering. Beginning in the Fall of 2006 each incoming class of freshmen will be the expected to have a laptop computer for their use in and out of the classroom. As such, E-115 has been re-engineered to make the most out of a student's laptop in the classroom. This is an exciting new opportunity to help the class of 2012 not only be better computer users but also better engineers.
