Remote Access

As has already been discussed, NC State provides many resources that are valuable to students, faculty, and staff. NC State also understands the necessity for flexibility in methods to access these resources. As such, NC State provides services to remotely connect its users to the campus computing system. NC State provides access to the following areas:

  • Web-based Services
  • Unix/Linux Applications
  • Virtual Computing Lab
  • Secure File Transfer

It is important to understand that any of these resources can be accessed from any machine or operating system, regardless of geographical location. This allows for someone around the world to be able to take advantage of NCSU resources.
