A new web site for documentation has been set up at http://manuals.eos.ncsu.edu/
The manuals are secured by WRAP
access, which means that you must log in with your Unity ID and password
to view them.
User documentation is a critical part of the application software that runs on Eos and Unity. However, accessing documentation has largely been confined to what you can get from Help inside the program. Print manuals also cannot easily be acquired or distributed to the number of users needing them. However, more and more documentation is available in web formats, HTML or PDF. The new documentation site allows you to log in and use the web-based documentation from outside the labs. This is particularly helpful to distance students, who will not need to run web browsers back to their home computers from our remote-access servers to display resource-intensive Help systems. As more manuals and support documentation come available in web formats, we will place them at this site with access restricted to our NCSU users as set by the vendor license.

If you know of documentation you believe should be distributed here, contact eoshelp@ncsu.edu. Eos and Unity applications only. |
