Courses Using Laptops
Though laptops are used in some capacity throughout all departments in the College, the following is a list of recent classes with which we have worked intensively with the faculty. In these classes, we assist the faculty and provide equipment and assistance as necessary.
History of Engineering Courses Using Laptops, 2001-2007
Campus Wireless System ("Nomad")
Every building in the College of Engineering has wireless coverage, and some have ubiquitous coverage. Priority is placed on covering classrooms and common areas. Wireless coverage is always expanding throughout the University.
Keeping Your Laptop in Your Hands
Though we only know of one of our students' laptops being stolen on campus since 2001, it is always a good idea to keep security in mind, on campus or off. We recommend cable locks as a deterrent -- any obstacle to theft may help deter anyone who is looking to make a quick getaway.
